The 2026 VASWCD Photo Contest: “Stewardship in Sight”

The VASWCD is committed to the conservation of natural resources through stewardship and education programs and we want to see it through your eyes. Capture those vibrant moments and express what stewardship looks like through your lens! The contest is open from February – August 1.
To learn more about the contest please review the Photo Contest Rules. You can submit up to 10 photos and to do so you click on the submit button for each photo entry at the bottom of the form. All photographs must be taken within the Commonwealth of Virginia. Photographs taken outside the state of Virginia will be disqualified.
2025 VASWCD Photo Contest Winners
Congratulations to Alexander Holloway on achieving Overall Winner of the 2025 VASWCD Photo Contest with their stunning photograph, “Pony in the Pasture.” Captured in the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, located within Eastern Shore SWCD, Alexander’s image perfectly captures the wildlife of Virginia and the 2025 theme, “Virginia’s Charm: Capture Conservation.”
