As public officials, district directors are accountable for all funds, property, and equipment belonging to the Soil and Water Conservation District. Accountability requires documentation, as well as the perception that the district is applying all funds entrusted to it in a manner that the public will accept and support.

This lesson will provide you with the information necessary to achieve financial accountability and can be divided into 5 primary objectives.
